Terms of use.

What this site is.

• A description of software that is still being built. Some of what is described works today in one shop. Some of it does not exist yet, and the site says so where that is the case.
• A way to apply to the founding cohort. Applying is an expression of interest. It is not a purchase, not a subscription, not a reservation, and no payment is requested or accepted anywhere on this site.
• Nothing else. There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no service being delivered through this website.

About the founding cohort offer.

The founding shops page describes twenty-five seats, launch pricing locked for two years, and direct access to me. I intend to honour all of it. Here is the precise status of those statements:

• They are a statement of intent, not a binding offer. They become binding when a founding shop and Stemalytics LLC sign a separate written service agreement, and that agreement - not this website - will govern the relationship.
• The published price is the current price, not a permanent one. It becomes binding for a given shop when that shop and Stemalytics LLC sign a service agreement. Until then it may change, and any change will appear on the pricing page before it applies to anyone.
• Applying does not reserve a seat. Seats are offered individually, after a conversation. An application is not an acceptance.
• I may change or withdraw the offer before an agreement is signed. If I do, I will say so on this page and on the founding shops page rather than quietly editing it away.

What is described, and what is proven.

Stemalytics has been used by one shop. Where the site gives a measured figure - a classification rate, for instance - that figure comes from that shop's data, and the sample size it was measured on is printed beside it. Other numbers describe how the software is built rather than what it achieved: the number of categories invoices are sorted into is a fact about the design, not a result, and carries no sample size because there is nothing to sample.

Where the site shows an example rather than a result - the sample invoice on the home page - it is labelled as a sample and the source of its figures is stated on the page. Sample figures are illustrative. They are not any shop's actual costs.

Those figures describe what has happened in one shop. They are not a prediction of what will happen in yours, and nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee of a business result, a cost saving, or a margin improvement.

The content of this site.

• The text, design and code of this site belong to Stemalytics LLC. You are welcome to read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it. You may not pass it off as your own.
• Secret Garden Floral Design is a separate business and is referred to here with its owner's permission.

No warranty.

This website is provided as it is. I try to keep it accurate and available, but I do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or always reachable. If something on this site is wrong, tell me at support@stemalytics.com and I will correct it.

Limits on liability.

To the extent Wisconsin law allows, Stemalytics LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website. Because this site sells nothing and collects no payment, there is no transaction here to be made whole - and any future paid relationship will be governed by its own signed agreement, with its own terms.

Your information.

What the site collects, where it goes and how to have it deleted is set out on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.

Which law applies.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States.

Changes.

If these terms change, the date below changes and the change is described in a line at the top of this section. I will not revise them silently.
